Keeping Mental Health Top of Mind

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Almost half of U.S. adults will experience mental illness in their lifetime, yet less than one-third will seek help.

Unfortunately, stigma still exists surrounding mental illness that keeps far too many people from getting help. In fact, many are uncomfortable even talking about it.

With the increasing need for self-care and mental health awareness due to COVID-19-now is not the time to be silent, embarrassed or without help. Cricket wants its employees and customers to feel comfortable and empowered to talk about mental health as well as to utilize the resources available to them should they ever have the need.

Throughout the month, Cricket will help generate awareness of mental health in the workplace and encourage employees to take the Stamp Out Stigma pledge to help remove the shame and embarrassment associated with mental illness.

Stamp Out Stigma is an initiative spearheaded by the Association of Behavioral Health and Wellness. Visit their website to learn more information about the initiative and to take the pledge.

Additionally, the CDC offers tips for coping with stress on their website as well as resources you can contact if you, or someone you know, are feeling overwhelmed.
